De-stemming after harvesting; vinification by type of vine under controlled temperatures; long maceration for 40 to 45 days. Assemblage after malo-lactic fermentation; maturing and refining in 400-liter barrels. Bottled 18 months after harvesting.
Redcurrant color with lively highlights and fine brilliance.
Considerable, complex aromatic intensity: fruity, with a note of Morello cherry. Very fine nose with buttery, toasty notes working up to vanilla and mineral.
Very beautiful attack in the mouth: cherry with a hint of kirsch. The tannins arrive with increasing intensity and remain strong at the finish.
Good persistence and length in the mouth, finishing with buttery, vanilla and spicy notes.
